The freedom I experience sitting in the middle of a field, by a body of water, in the midst of a forest while choosing what to paint is daunting. The gorgeous landscape Mother Nature has given us selfishly becomes my world when I sit with canvas and brush. I enjoy the freedom of moving a tree branch, widening a field, or simply expressing the feeling of being surrounded by amazing beauty. If my paintings encourage you to take a moment and look with child-like wonderment then I have succeeded.
